No Guts, No Glory

What do 9 guys, 36 teams, and the heart of champions have in common? No Guts, No Glory. Placer came with only 9 guys, but went on a pin fest to place second overall in the team score by a mere 1.5 points. River Rogers took his Durham opponent into overtime. There, he did what he does best and took him down to win the match that took him to the finals where he dispatched his Armijo opponent to bring home the gold. Logan Moon faced his arch rival from River City (the same one he beat at Marty Manges for 3rd). This time he came up just short and had to battle back in the consolation bracket. He walked through the rest of the competition to claim bronze. Noah Cardelli wrestled like a man possessed to capture 4th place. Justus Haskin, Jackson Addison, and Cameron Briggs all had strong outings, each finishing 5th, while Sergio Nucamendi finished 6th, much to the delight of his team and family. Placer looks to take on Nevada Union in league action this Thursday, January 2nd at Placer. Be there and check out all the action. Go Hillmen!
