On December 29th and 30th, the No Guts No Glory tournament lived up to it's name for the Placer Hillmen. Senior Robbie Parsons pulled out a last minute win to get him into the consolation finals before securing 6th place at 195. Junior Gavin Sweeney took the long road after a tough loss to Upper Lake High School, coming back to get 4th at 126. The highlight of the night for Placer was when senior Daniel Moon beat his nemesis from Sheldon in a hard fought battle to get into the finals. After going down 4-2 to Davis High in the first, Moon came back to go up 8-7 before securing the dramatic 2nd round pin

Outstanding JV performances were turned in by three Placer freshmen. Kane Kelley-Stephenson and Thomas Thornton, each brought home the gold, while Christian Westphalen earned the sliver.
