Finances

There are three pots of funding for the Wrestling team

  1. Placer High Athletics: Mark Lee (AD) is in charge of this pot.  Basically pays for:
    1. $800 for tournaments per year.  $400 for Varsity and $400 for JV
    2. Coaches stipends (head Varsity & JV)
    3. Keep wrestlers on the mat (uniforms, mats, misc.)
    4. Weight certification ($10/wrestler)
    5. Entry fee for post season
    6. Travel to league matches
  2. Placer Wrestling Club account: PHS ASB account, Head Varsity coach in charge of this pot
    1. Expenses submitted to ASB, and approved.  Must have a meeting of the team, and get agreement from team. Head coach submits
    2. Currently ~$2550 in this account
  3. Placer Wrestling Booster Club: Booster club board controls this
    1. Primarily used for tournaments and equipment
    2. Works at direction of Head coach
    3. Currently ~$1300

Uniforms

  1. We just purchased new Varsity warm-ups for the 06-07 season
  2. We need to inventory what we have and place appropriate orders

Transportation

  1. Vans need a class B license
  2. Otherwise it will likely be parents
    1. Need to have forms filled out and on file to do this

 

Facilities & Equipment

  1. We have a wrestling room.  It is used by Cross Country in the fall
  2. We have 3 climbing ropes that are hung off the upper platform during the season
  3. We have a full set of AB Bands for the Varsity team
